Liverpool have one of the strongest squads in world football. As a result plenty of our first team will be turning out at this summer’s European Championships. There is doubt over one Red’s participation and that is nonsense. Trent Alexander-Arnold leads every other England right-back combined in a key area.
England squad drama
This week Gareth Southgate was set to name his 26-man squad for the Euros.
Instead he bottled it and named an expanded 33-man squad which will be trimmed down on the 1st of June.
The expanded provisional squad found room for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The Scouser was expected to be left out of the group for the tournament and still could be when the team is trimmed.

This comes after he was snubbed for the previous England squad in March.
Alexander-Arnold leads England rivals
The issue at hand is that the Three Lions have plenty of good right-backs.
The gaffer is expected to take Kyle Walker, Kieran Trippier and Reece James.
This is because the trio are purportedly streaks ahead of Trent defensively.
Personally I just don’t buy this assumption, the Scouser being a liability on the back foot is simply a myth.
Having said this, it is on the front foot where the Liverpool star excels.
As highlighted by freelance writer Andrew Beasley, Trent Alexander-Arnold leads his England rivals in his creativity.
The journalist reported that the Scouser has a higher expected assist tally this season than every other right-back in the provisional squad combined.
What RTK has to say
This. Just this.
The Scouser is the best right-back in the world with the ball at his feet.
If Southgate can’t find a way to use him then it’s an indictment of his shortcomings as a manager.
