Liverpool’s transfer window appears to be up and running. The Reds have plenty of work to do and they don’t seem to be hanging around. According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are closing in on Ibrahima Konate and the player has already completed his medical checks.

This summer will see a changing of the guard at the back.

Even some of the backup options ended up on the treatment table.

However, the two were later injured themselves and there are serious doubts about their futures at the club.
Liverpool complete Ibrahima Konate medical
There has been one target rumoured to be the priority for some weeks now.
Liverpool are allegedly close to announcing Ibrahima Konate as their first summer signing.
According to Fabrizio Romano the Frenchman has already completed a medical ‘days ago’.
The Reds will have to pay his €35m (£30.5m) release clause in order to seal the deal.
Romano has claimed the player will sign a five-year-deal with the Reds.
What RTK has to say
Finally, finally we’re getting this over the line.
After the incident with Timo Werner last summer we were starting to get a bit worried about the lack of progress on this front.
Thankfully the Reds look set to tie this deal up in the coming days.
Then it’s time to find a replacement for Gini Wijnaldum.
