Liverpool have struggled this season, there’s no denying that. The side’s struggles have been rooted in fitness issues. The drop off in form recently saw a key star snubbed by his country. According to The Athletic, Gareth Southgate is still planning to leave Trent Alexander-Arnold out of his squad for the Euros.

Southgate snubs Alexander-Arnold
Liverpool fans the world over were shocked in March.
Gareth Southgate left Trent Alexander-Arnold out of the England squad for a string of World Cup qualifiers.
The Scouser had been omitted due to his perceived poor form with the Reds having gone on an historic run of defeats at Anfield.
Since the omission the Scouser has been in electric form, shortly after his snub he put in a match winning performance at the Emirates.
Southgate to snub Alexander-Arnold for Euros
Since the initial snub we’ve seen the Scouser come on leaps and bounds, the move seemed to spur him on.
However, his improved form has apparently not swayed the England manager’s opinion.
According to The Athletic, Gareth Southgate is set to snub Trent Alexander-Arnold for the Euros.
The outlet has reported that it is ‘improbable’ that the Scouser is included in the squad unless injuries open up a spot.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool fans may be pleased that the Scouser could be set for a rest.
However, it would be an unwelcome one. He deserves to be at the Euros.
What we are seeing here is Gareth Southgate considering leaving the best right back in the world out because he can’t figure out how to use him.
