Liverpool have some of the very best players in the world in the first XI. This season hasn’t been the best for the Reds with plenty of players’ form dipping. As a result the Scouser in our team was dropped by England. In a debate on the Euros squad Rio Ferdinand backed Trent Alexander-Arnold, shutting a Man United fan down fiercely.
Alexander-Arnold left out of England squad
The Reds have been in poor form in the past few months.
The injury crisis begun to take its toll on the side, leading to a string of poor results.
In light of the side’s poor displays, Trent Alexander-Arnold was left out of the latest England squad by Gareth Southgate.
The decision sparked a massive debate in the country about who the Three Lions should take to the Euros.

Rio Ferdinand on Alexander-Arnold
This week Rio Ferdinand defended Trent Alexander-Arnold and his role in the national side.
Speaking on the VibeWithFive show, the Man United legend shut down Red Devils fan Stephen Howson, saying:
“You want to play on the counter, Trent’s got the ability to play a 30-40 yard pass on the counter to get someone in immediately.
“With the ball Trent smashes all of them to pieces. His best attributes absolutely outweigh everything else.
“Trent Alexander-Arnold has been the best right back in the world for two years. Who is a much better defender all round and is anywhere near him with the ball?”
What RTK has to say
We couldn’t have put it better ourselves.
Though we would also like to dispel this myth that Trent can’t defend.
It is a ridiculous notion that is being propagated by people who prefer Twitter fandom to actually watching the game.
The lad has been exposed when those around him aren’t covering where they should be. In the big games he’s stood out defensively.
