This summer, all things being well, Liverpool will sign a forward. The Reds need some depth and variety up top and we can expect that to be addressed in the coming months. Whilst Timo Werner has been the most touted target, Liverpool are also reportedly interested in Victor Osimhen. According to LeSport10, the forward is a ‘priority’ for Manchester United.
Most recently we heard the Lille gaffer admit that the player will be ‘forced to listen’ to offers over the summer.
The forward has become a leading light for the Ligue 1 side, he has bagged 13 goals and picked up four assists in 25 starts and two sub appearances.
He is noted for his aerial ability and deadly finishing but is too often found offside and isn’t the best passer of the ball.
If The Reds are indeed interested in bringing the Nigerian forward in then they’ll have competition. According to LeSport10 in France, Manchester United have made signing Victor Osimhen a ‘priority’.
What RTK has to say
An old fashioned shootout.
Personally, I’m not too concerned by Manchester United’s reported interest.
It’s no secret that for Liverpool, Osimhen isn’t as much of a priority as Timo Werner.
There is also the issue of the reported €70m price tag. Why splash more money on a player with less goals than Timo Werner?
We aren’t completely convinced of The Reds interest, our rivals can snap him up for all we care. As long as we grab Timo then we are content.
