This summer Kopites are expecting movement at Anfield. The Reds were miserly last summer and it paid off with Jürgen Klopp’s squad opening up a 25 point gap at the top of the Premier League. Nike will want a major signing to help shift shirts and they may get more than one, the latest twist in the Timo Werner transfer saga could point to an additional signing.
Liverpool have been linked with Timo Werner for months now.
The German striker has gained a reputation as one of the most lethal goal scorers in Europe thanks to his 21 strikes in 24 starts this season.
With The Reds tipped to make a move as early as April, Kopites have been licking their lips at the prospect of him banging them in at Anfield next season.
However, there has been a twist in the Werner transfer saga – Bild has claimed that Liverpool may loan Werner straight back to RB Leipzig for a season.

If Michael Edwards did decide to send the German back for a year then this would surely point to another forward being signed.
It is no secret that Liverpool need another option in attack, we can’t rely on our front three for yet another season.
All we do know is that if Werner isn’t playing up top for Liverpool next season then somebody else will be, money doesn’t appear to be an issue thanks to disciplined spending of late and the Nike kit deal. It looks as though this story is far from finished.
