The Liverpool academy has produced some gems over the years as well as its fair share of flops. However many hits and misses have come through, the academy has always provided the first team with fresh blood or transfer funds from player sales. One academy player that left the club last summer could be set for a Premier League return, The Star have reported that Everton and Manchester United are tracking Rafa Camacho.
Camacho left Liverpool last summer in a £7m deal.
The Portuguese youth international was reluctantly let go by The Reds. With his contract set to expire in 2020, the club had tried to extend his deal but talks fell through.
With the youngster willing to run down his contract and leave on a free, the club agreed to sell him to Sporting Lisbon.
Thus far the 19-year-old has made 19 appearances in all competitions though his contributions have largely been from the bench.

The Star have reported that Everton and Manchester United are keeping tabs on the talented teenager, with a view to capitalising on Liverpool’s loss.
What RTK has to say
It is not often that The Reds come off poorly in the transfer market.
Michael Edwards has become one of the game’s shrewdest operators but even he can’t help ambition and greed.
With the winger trying to force a move and the loss on a free of Emre Can still fresh in the club’s mind, our hand was forced and we had to let Camacho go sooner than we’d hoped.
Seeing one of our old hot prospects flourish at a rival club would be difficult but we can’t get control the weather – players will fall through the cracks.
Though, we can’t see Camacho bridging the gap between Everton and Liverpool.
