Liverpool have dominated the transfer market in recent seasons and are regularly pointed towards as the gold standard for recruitment. Patience has been one of the keys to Michael Edwards‘ approach, with this in mind we believe Liverpool should keep tabs on Dani Olmo – RB Leipzig’s latest signing.

Leipzig signed Olmo this week for just £17m.
The Spanish attacking midfielder developed at Barcelona’s La Masia academy before moving to Dinamo Zagreb to secure first team football.
The 21-year-old was incredibly impressive in Croatia and there were rumours that Barcelona wanted to bring him back to the Nou Camp.
We have previously written about the merits of Liverpool signing Dani Olmo, with other clubs circling him we felt The Reds should jump the queue.
Thankfully, RB Leipzig signing him is the best possible outcome.
The German Bundesliga leaders have gained a reputation for spotting and developing top talents.
Dayot Upamecano is rapidly becoming one of the most coveted centre backs around (Arsenal’s interest was reported by The Star) and Timo Werner has become a goal machine since moving from Stuttgart – he is currently just a goal behind Robert Lewandowski in the top scorer chart.
More crucially, Leipzig are a selling club. Previously, Julian Nagelsmann has said that he wouldn’t stand in the way if Timo Werner wanted to move to a bigger club – they have sold us Naby Keita in the past.
With Olmo moving to the Red Bull backed side, the Spaniard can develop with The Reds watching on, waiting to pounce.
At 21-years-old he has his entire career ahead of him, moving to a super club now may have been a risky decision, this is a sensible next step, fingers crossed he finds his way to Anfield eventually.
