As the year draws to a close clubs around the world are conducting their “of the decade” polls. The Reds have been seeking out their goal of the decade, Spurs have been sorting out their fans’ team of the decade. However, in true Kopite fashion, Liverpool fans have hijacked the Spurs team of the decade Twitter poll.

Kopites have form for this, we’ve been rigging Lazio’s team of the year with regularity – come on, it always has to be Lucas Leiva, he’s a god amongst men.

Liverpool fans have hijacked the Spurs team of the decade poll in order to put two former Reds in the lineup. We have managed to secure spots for Brad Friedel and Peter Crouch ahead of Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane.

Friedel made 25 league appearances for Liverpool whilst Crouch turned out in 85 occasions, netting 22 times – some of them pretty memorable goals.

The official Spurs account noted there had been suspicious activity on the polls.

One Kopite joked that Harry Kane can’t even win a Twitter poll.

Another Red noted that we have form for this, recalling the times that we’ve helped Lucas Leiva out over at Lazio.

Harry Kane stayed in the crosshairs, his infamous goal snatching habits won’t be forgotten by rival fans any time soon.

And of course, Spurs fans were just confused by the whole thing.

But we had the backing of the Arsenal faithful, they’re enjoying us messing around with their arch rivals.
