Reports: Sander Berge may choose West Ham over Liverpool

There are a million players linked with Liverpool and about half a dozen that are strongly linked, a mere few that seem to be dead certs. One such strongly linked player currently plies his trade in Belgium but it looks as though the Reds could be set to miss out. Bleacher Report have claimed that Sander Berge will choose West Ham over Liverpool.

Berge has been linked with a move to Liverpool for some time now, with Goal reporting that Chelsea and Napoli are also interested. There has been concern in Italy that the Reds would trump the €20m that Napoli are rumoured to be set to offer the Belgians.

However, it looks as though neither Champions League side will bag Berge. Bleacher Report understand that the Norwegian is keen to move to East London, citing that he trained with the Hammers when he was 17.

What RTK has to say

Who cares? We’ve beat Berge twice, we can beat him again if he moves to West Ham. How true this report is can be questioned anyway – I mean, why would you choose the struggling Hammers over Liverpool at the moment?

If Sander Berge moves to West Ham instead of Liverpool it will likely be because we didn’t want him. The Reds have been unbeatable in the transfer market in recent seasons – we are prepared to do what it takes to secure our top targets, just look at how long we waited for Naby Keita and Virgil van Dijk. Never doubt Michael Edwards.
