Tuesday evening saw Liverpool make their way into the knockout rounds of the Champions League. The Reds had a fight on their hands, no doubt about that. Jürgen Klopp’s men came up against a spirited and deadly RB Salzburg side in Austria, the Scousers needing a point to progress. The Reds ran out 2-0 winners – the Mo Salah goal against RB Salzburg was a highlight of the night and the group stage as a whole.
Liverpool went ahead in the 57th minute thanks to a goal from Naby Keita. All the hard work was done by Sadio Mane, the Senegalese forward’s agility, trickery and turn of pace took him past the defender and eye to eye with the on rushing keeper – the ball was lifted back to the penalty spot for Keita to nod home.
The Egyptian King missed a host of chances throughout the game – constantly finding himself in good positions he just couldn’t apply the final touch; dragging wide, lashing over and failing to round the keeper. However, in the habit of all good strikers, the Mo Salah goal against RB Salzburg was the toughest chance of the lot – it wasn’t even a chance. He rounded the keeper and tucked away from an impossible angle. Twitter has been drooling over the goal.
This Kopite is going to be using the incredible finish as inspiration for his exams.
If Mo Salah can score from this angle, then I can get A’s on all of my exams pic.twitter.com/CVoLYqEe0s

One supporter thought the goal was simply outrageous.

Fans were left asking how it was even possible.

Amazing, still don’t know how he did it! 👏👏

And Reds were quick to point out that Salah managed to net from an impossible angle using his supposedly weaker foot.
Not did only Mo Salah score from an impossible angle but he did it with his weakened foot.
Class is permanent. #MoSalah
