This season has been a stand out campaign for Sadio Mane. The Senegalese forward has been tearing up the Premier League and has been impressing in Europe. Although it is a team game, the media have been falling over themselves to praise the winger’s individual contributions. Sadio Mane has also come in for some high praise from his captain Jordan Henderson.
Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s final Champions League group stage tie with RB Salzburg, the Reds skipper was asked if he was enjoying playing alongside Sadio Mane. The Liverpool ECHO reported Henderson’s reply:
“It’s amazing [playing with him]. Sadio has been outstanding for a long period of time. He just needs to continue. He’s a fantastic person off the pitch. He works really hard, he dedicates his life to football. It’s great to see him doing so well.”

Sadio Mane and Jordan Henderson have both been in strong form this season. Although, it is Mane that some experts have charged with carrying Liverpool at times.
The Senegalese forward has been our best player this campaign. Last week saw yet another masterclass from the winger as he tore the Merseyside Derby up, scoring once and assisting twice as the Reds battered Everton 5-2.
It is no surprise that Sadio Mane is coming in for such high praise from Jordan Henderson, it is also no surprise to hear the skipper talk of the forward’s dedication.
We can see on the pitch just how much the club means to Mane. He chases everything down, he hounds defenders, he is often found in pursuit of lost causes – he unsettles defences.
Last season we often talked about how critical Roberto Firmino is to us defending from the front, we can see now that Mane has learned from his example.
