Three Liverpool players look set to leave Anfield in the very near future. The winter transfer opens in little over a month, giving the club a chance to buy and sell players.
Jurgen Klopp has amassed a strong squad and won’t want to lose anyone. However, three Liverpool players could well be heading for the exit door sooner rather than later.
The 19-year-old academy starlet needs to leave for first-team football. Brewster was expected to enjoy a breakout year, but he has so far failed to make an impact. Any role in Jurgen Klopp’s squad will be minimal and not enough to continue his development.
The Liverpool boss blocked a potential loan move in the summer but may now be willing to rethink that decision. Such a talent, Brewster will have clubs lining up to take him on loan for the remainder of the season.
After initially impressing Xherdan Shaqiri has seen himself frozen out of the Liverpool team. The Reds midfielder is likely to leave in January after admitting he is dissatisfied with his lack of playing time. Arsenal and Tottenham have already been tipped to sign to the Swiss international by Darren Bent.
At 28, he should be at his peak and the bench is not where he will want to spend it. Ex-Stoke man Shaqiri is the most likely Liverpool player to move on during the winter window.
The 31-year-old is out of contract next summer and looks unlikely to sign a new deal. Since suffering several injuries Lallana has struggled to re-establish his place in the Liverpool team. Lallana’s game time has been severely limited and he looks surplus to requirements at Anfield.
The former Southampton captain has attracted interest from clubs in the MLS and China. However French giants Paris Saint-Germain are also believed to be interested and could make a move for the player in January. Should they come in for Lallana it would be hard to stop him making on last major European move.
