Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain must start this weekend. The Reds travel to Aston Villa in search of a tenth Premier League win of the season.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has been chasing a league start and now he has earned it.
Jurgen Klopp’s sides chances would be better with Oxlade-Chamberlain in the midfield and here’s why:

The 26-year-old Liverpool midfielder has been in great form for the club. Currently restricted to starts in cup competitions, he has looked the standout performer whenever he plays.
Three goals in two starts for the club are testament to that. Last night’s stunner was proof he belongs in Jurgen Klopp’s starting line-up.
Oxlade-Chamberlains ability to create and score goals from midfield is something Liverpool lack. This hasn’t been a problem for the most part; our front three are more than capable of scoring a ton of goals between them.
However, should one be injured, out of form or simply in need of help, Liverpool cannot offer that with our usual midfield three of Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and Gini Wijnaldum. In steps the “Ox” and this problem is solved.

Lastly, the performances of Wijnaldum since the international break have been below par.
The Dutch international, like everyone else, struggled at Old Trafford before being subbed off.
Once again against Tottenham he wasn’t up to scratch. For large portions of the game he went missing and, when he did come into the play, he hesitated to shoot. Again, he was subbed off.
At some point the great performances of Oxlade-Chamberlain must be rewarded.
