Liverpool face Man United this weekend and for the first time in decades, the Reds go into their clash at Old Trafford as strong favourites. Jürgen Klopp’s side enter the game 8 points clear at the top of the table whilst Ole Gunnar Solskjaer languishes in the bottom half, wallowing in 12th place with just 9 points. The Red Devils have been without key players Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw in recent weeks and it looks as though things may have gotten worse. Last night saw a David de Gea injury further dash the hopes of the United faithful. The David de Gea injury was sustained whilst the keeper played for Spain against Sweden.
Whilst the Red Devils were already a long shot to get anything out of the game, their odds have lengthened since the David de Gea injury. Solskjaer is now expected to line up with Sergio Romero in goal, the Argentinian shot stopper has made just 7 league appearances for United since 2015.
Twitter has reacted to the David de Gea injury and it is safe to say, United fans are terrified and Liverpool fans are jubilant.
One football enthusiast believes the knock will lead to an embarrassing scoreline for United.
Since De gea has a groin injury,Liverpool has a chance of scoring more than 5 goals.😂😂😂😂

This Liverpool fan poked fun at the conspiracy theories that abound whenever the Reds are doing well.
Can’t believe the FA injured De Gea to allow Liverpool to win the league 😡

However, one United fan stuck up for the Argentine and feels the panic is unwarranted.
