3 Man United Players that Liverpool will have to keep quiet on Sunday

It is not often that Liverpool arrive at Old Trafford as odds on favourites. Man United are currently languishing at 12th in the Premier League table, 15 points behind leaders Liverpool. In fact, Manchester United are closer to having no points than they are to the Reds. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under a lot of pressure at United but frankly, who could they get in if they sacked him? With the old enemy in such dire straits ahead of the weekend’s clash, we take a look at 3 Man United players Liverpool will have to keep quiet this Sunday.

Daniel James

The Welsh winger has been one of the few positives of United’s season so far. The 21 year old was signed from Swansea over the summer and has netted 3 goals for the Red Devils so far this season. His ability to step up to the Premier League has been impressive, his lightning pace could pose problems if the Reds adopt to high a line. We all remember that game that Trent Alexander-Arnold had against Marcus Rashford.

Paul Pogba

The French international is set to return to the United side after missing 5 of their last 7 games due to an ankle injury. Man United players will turn to him whenever in possession – everything goes through the World Cup winner when he plays – if the Reds can keep him quiet then they will be putting a plug in United’s creative output.

Luke Shaw

United’s first choice left back hasn’t played since August but is set to return this weekend and the Red Devils need him to. Shaw was their player of the year last campaign and he could make all the difference when it comes to stopping the interchanging wingers of Liverpool’s attack.
