Liverpool went 1-0 up against Chelsea over the weekend when a Trent Alexander-Arnold goal reasserted his claim to the throne of “best full back in the world”. When the Scouser was first rearing his head in the first team at 18, did we really think he would be the best in the world after just 2 years? I certainly didn’t. He has a strong argument for the title. On Sunday, Mo Salah rolled the ball into Trent’s path on the edge of the area and the local lad cannoned it into the top corner. Kepa Arrizabalaga was utterly helpless, bless him.

The effort was utterly unstoppable and a further example of just how deadly the Scouser in our team is when it comes to set pieces – who can forget his role in the heroic 4-0 win over Barcelona?
Supporters have taken to Twitter to gush over the stellar performance Alexander-Arnold gave over the weekend, also giving their thoughts on his post match comments.
This fan took issue with suggestions that the full back still has to improve defensively, giving him applause for his work at the back against Chelsea.
The biggest myth in England right now is that Trent Alexander Arnold is a defensive liability. He absolutely battered the Chelsea attack and defence, while scoring an absolute peach.
Meanwhile Wan Bissaka gets beat by lowly West Ham like a mug.
No comparison of the levels

A Kopite looked to highlight the volume of wonders that Trent has produced at Liverpool, pointing out that no other player in his position in the world can give their side the same threat.
Trent has an unbelievable collection of goals (and assists) for a 20 year-old right back, he’s genuinely a special player. No one offers what he does which is why we don’t entertain comparisons to other players in his position, he’s in a league of his own.

After the game, the Scouser expressed his desire to win trophies with his beloved side and the comments were well received indeed.
Trent Alexander-Arnold: “If someone mentions Liverpool winning the league, we want people to say, “Which one?” or “What year was that? Was that number 19? Was that 21? We want people to be confused about how many trophies we won because we won so many!”
Unbelievable mentality.

My Revenge On Ben Foster
Of course, the set piece gave some rival fans some nasty flashbacks.
