Here’s everything we know about Luca Eden, the teenager who has been making waves in Liverpool’s academy.

The Reds’ next generation of rising stars have already begun to emerge in the last year or so, with Rio Ngumoha, Trey Nyoni and Josh Abe already gaining much attention.

Liverpool think Abe can be the next Ngumoha, but he isn’t the only youngster making waves at Anfield.

Now, Luca Eden has caught the eye of new manager Andoni Iraola and other staff at Anfield following some impressive form at youth level.

Which Liverpool youngster will make the biggest impact under Andoni Iraola and become a first-team member?

Andoni Iraola is keeping an eye on Luca Eden

Unlike Arne Slot, Iraola is well known for giving young players a proper chance at first-team level, no matter their experience.

We saw this on display at Bournemouth, and Eden could be among the names that the Spanish coach takes an interest in now he has moved to Merseyside.

Eden has been training with the Reds’ U21 squad this week, and was watched closely by Iraola ahead of the first team’s pre-season kicking off later this month.

The 15-year-old is said to have privately impressed Liverpool staff, who are raving about him.

He has already captained England at U15 level, and despite his age, he has featured for the Three Lions’ U16 and U18 sides.

Eden netted for the U18s in 2025/26 and became their youngest-ever goalscorer when doing so.

He also made history with Liverpool last term, becoming their youngest-ever player to feature at U18 level in the Premier League when he came off the bench against Manchester United, when he was only 14 years and 263 days old.

Eden is a versatile midfielder who is aggressive, works hard and also has excellent shooting ability.

It remains to be seen if the youngster will be officially called up for Liverpool’s pre-season tour, but if he is, he is sure to impress Iraola and co. even more than he already has.
