Liverpool might need to break the British transfer record again if they want to make Bradley Barcola their next signing.
Victor Munoz has already arrived this summer, but a proper replacement for Mohamed Salah still seems to be on the agenda at Anfield.
On that front, interest in Barcola is being mooted heavily once again this week, but fans are not happy with his reported price tag.
How high should Liverpool go to sign Bradley Barcola from PSG?
Maybe Liverpool would be better off signing two or three €50m players…
Liverpool told to avoid signing Bradley Barcola for £128m
At present, the French World Cup star seems to be the name highest on the list of Liverpool’s winger targets.
However, PSG are said to only be willing to sell the player for €150m (around £128m).
In turn, Rousing The Kop asked fans if they think that is a fair price tag for Barcola, and the response was clear.
Just some of the reaction from our social media pages can be seen below, with many supporters urging their club to start looking elsewhere.
- “They should look for Osimhen or Vlahovic”
- “LFC should look elsewhere. Other targets are more reliable and cheaper”
- “Are they mad?”
- “Stop the spending… not worth it…”
- “Not worth more than £50 million”
- “Look elsewhere unless the player pushing to leave for more game time.”
- “Walk away”
- “Definitely look elsewhere…”
But with Yan Diomande preferring PSG, that would be yet another Salah replacement off the list should Liverpool decide that the price tag is too high.
Still, six more attackers were linked with a move to Anfield this summer, some of whom could still be available.
Crysencio Summerville has been praised by a former Liverpool player amid interest from the Merseyside outfit.
Anthony Gordon, now of FC Barcelona, has moved elsewhere, while Yankuba Minteh of Brighton and Hove Albion could be another option.
Minteh doesn’t have the best record in the Premier League, though, scoring three and assisting four in 34 matches last season.
