Where Bradley Barcola would rank among Liverpool’s record signings as huge price-tag set

Liverpool’s interest in PSG and France winger Bradley Barcola appears to have ramped up in the last week or so.

With a move for Yan Diomande looking less likely, the options to potentially replace Mohamed Salah are decreasing, but there is a good chance Barcola is the man the Reds target to fill the void.

We have already taken a look at his likely Liverpool shirt number should he join, but with a €150m price tag on his head, a deal may well be tough to complete.

Who should Liverpool’s new top target be after being rejected by Yan Diomande?

Bradley Barcola would become Liverpool’s new record signing

The price-tag update emerged this week, with the official stance from PSG that Barcola is not for sale, but if he does go, it would take a fee of €150m.

For now, though, discussions around his future at PSG have been put on hold due to his participation at the World Cup.

So, while Liverpool fans are growing frustrated at the transfer business this summer, this does seem to be another deal that could drag on.

But if Barcola does eventually make a move to Anfield before the close of the 2026 summer transfer window, he would, at the reported price tag, become the Merseyside outfit’s new record signing.

€150m works out at just shy of £128m, which is more than what Liverpool paid to sign Alexander Isak last summer (£125m).

In turn, not only would Barcola be the Reds’ most expensive signing, but he would also be a British transfer record, for now.

Isak would be knocked down to second place, followed by Florian Wirtz, who cost Liverpool £116m last summer.

Darwin Nunez would then rank fourth after he set the club back £85.36m, with Hugo Ekitike’s potential £79m transfer rounding out the top five.

Meanwhile, Virgil van Dijk, who remains Liverpool’s most expensive January signing at £75m, would move down to sixth place.
