Liverpool are back on the hunt for a top player to sign on the right of their attack this summer after being turned down by Yan Diomande.
The Reds must quickly switch their focus to new options, but with few standout alternatives to the Ivorian, fans are struggling to see what Liverpool do next.
Having fallen out of favour last season at Real Madrid, Endrick could be a surprise pick for the Reds. Right-sided, fast and with superstar potential, he would be an intriguing replacement for Mohamed Salah. But according to the Spanish press, the 19-year-old may not be available this summer.
Who should Liverpool’s new top target be after being rejected by Yan Diomande?
This is a BIG blow to the Reds' summer plans 😓
Endrick is expected to stay at Real Madrid
Endrick had been expected to become the next Brazilian superstar after joining Real Madrid in 2024. However, things have not completely gone to plan for him.
An underwhelming first season with Los Blancos led to him being completely overlooked by Carlo Ancelotti during the first half of the 2025/26 campaign, when he made only three appearances.
But a January loan to Lyon reminded European football fans of just what a prospect Endrick is, as he hit eight goals and laid on eight assists in only 21 matches.
Those are the kinds of numbers which will make Liverpool sit up and pay attention, but according to Marca, it is unlikely that Endrick will be put up for sale by incoming Real boss Jose Mourinho.

It is claimed that Mourinho sees the Brazil international as being ready to challenge immediately for a place at Real Madrid, something Endrick himself is also on board with.
With Rodrygo Goes still out injured with a knee injury, the teenager has shot up the pecking order, and though he still has a number of big names to compete against, he is reportedly expected to play a bigger role in 2026/27.
Could Liverpool try to sign him anyway?
Though Madrid are seemingly keen to keep hold of Endrick, it remains to be seen whether strong interest in him could soften that stance.
Liverpool clearly have money to spend on a new attacker, and there is an argument that Endrick could be worth the £100m they were willing to pay to land Diomande.

The Reds could reportedly target two forwards, two midfielders and a versatile defender…
The two players are the same age, but the Madrid man is far more experienced, having made over 100 appearances for three different clubs and the Brazil national team.
Liverpool would need some assurances that the player was up for it, but if they can pitch him an immediate starting spot and the potential to become one of the faces of Andoni Iraola’s new-look side, then maybe there is still some wiggle room here.
For now, Endrick is away with Brazil at the World Cup, and his focus will be there. But if there is any chance that Liverpool can make this happen, then they should at least be asking the question.
The Reds reportedly spoke to Endrick about joining in 2022, and although they could not convince him four years ago, there is no harm in trying again.
