Liverpool have reportedly responded positively to an approach about the possibility of signing Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha.
Nmecha has started the World Cup with Germany in impressive fashion, scoring a brilliant opening goal of their campaign against Curacao, before setting up Deniz Undav’s winner against Ivory Coast.
The 25-year-old’s performances have been drawing attention, and according to TeamTALK the wheels are in motion over a summer exit from Dortmund, with Liverpool one of the clubs approached about a potential deal.

Liverpool approached over Felix Nmecha deal
Liverpool are on the lookout for a new midfielder this summer, and TeamTALK claim that Nmecha has come into the picture as part of the planning.
Interestingly, the Reds are said to have been sounded out by his agents as they look to secure him a big move on the back of the World Cup.
With their need for a new midfield operator apparent, Liverpool are claimed to have been ‘receptive’ to the idea of bringing Nmecha on board.
The possibility has reportedly yet to be dismissed by the Reds, who are said to be monitoring ‘a number’ of central midfield options.

Nmecha’s representatives are claimed to have told Liverpool – as well as a number of other interested clubs – that the Germany international could be bought for €60m (£52m) this summer, despite signing a new contract with Dortmund in March.
Although Barcelona and Real Madrid are also named as potential suitors for Nmecha, the former Man City academy prospect is said to be prioritising a return to England if possible.
Nmecha has cemented his place in Germany’s starting midfield during the World Cup so far, and if he continues to catch the eye, and he really is available for such a relatively good price, it would be a surprise not to see him snapped up later this summer.
Liverpool may be in the mix if that does happen, but though the insinuation here is that the Reds are certainly open to a move for Nmecha, it seems that he is far from being their top choice in central midfield.
