Liverpool fans were really not happy with Arne Slot when watching their team struggle against a Chelsea side in terrible form.
Ahead of Saturday’s meeting at Anfield, the Blues were without a permanent manager and had the joint-worst form in the Premier League along with Burnley.
However, Liverpool made Chelsea actually look like a half-decent side at times and fans are completely done with Slot.
Full-time and the points are shared. Are you worried we won’t get over the line for UCL?
STILL in need of three points…
Liverpool fans very unhappy Arne Slot is remaining their manager after Chelsea
Supporters hitting out at the Liverpool manager is nothing new this season, which is not surprising given the number of games lost and the style of football.
Yet, at the moment at least, FSG are planning to stick with Slot for the 2026/27 campaign, and everyone knows it.
In turn, supporters have made their feelings very clear about that happening after watching another poor game against an equally bad Chelsea team.
One fan wrote: “If Slot stays as manager next year, I’m going to lose my mind. This man is tactically inept, doesn’t inspire confidence, stands as a statue in the dugout. This man has turned MEN into BOYS. Get rid.”
“Arne Slot can not be the manager at Liverpool next season. They have been absolutely terrible. Again. Woeful display. And there’s still 40 minutes to go!” Another added.
A third commented: “Arne Slot cannot continue as LFC manager next season.”
Another claimed: “Slot is never going to be able to get this team playing well again. It’s time FSG did the right thing and move him on, so a new manager can be brought in before next season. If not, LFC will be fighting a relegation battle like Spurs next year.”
A fifth stated: “Arne Slot is getting outcoached by Calum McFarlan and Liverpool owners have no plan on firing Slot. Liverpool are not going to do ANYTHING if Slot is manager next season. It’s another wasted summer window too.”
“Is this the manager you want for next season, @LFC please just sack Slot,” pleaded another.
With Arne Slot expected to stay, will Liverpool challenge for the Premier League next season?
Or will it be another difficult campaign? 😬
Those pleas, however, are likely going to fall on deaf ears despite this season being a huge mess.
It feels like the majority of people are desperate for a change in the Anfield dugout right now.
However, Richard Hughes and Michael Edwards like Slot, and still think he is going to be able to turn things around.
Normally, FSG’s willingness to stick with managers during difficult periods is admirable. But at one point this season has the head coach shown he has any chance of turning things around?
