Liverpool fans have been putting suggestions forward of players to sign this summer as Mohamed Salah draws the curtain on his time at Anfield.
It’s going to be a busy window. There are sure to be a number of departures, shrinking an already-bare squad. So replacements will have to be signed.
With Salah gone, there is a void out on the wing. But not every suggestion is a wide attacker. Rousing The Kop readers pitched their ideas on the TalkingPoints platform.
Which one should be Liverpool’s manager next season❓
Some even put tactical changes to Slot, who is surely planning a rejig after this season’s struggles.
Fans suggest players for Liverpool to sign this summer
The comments point in two directions, but the midfield case feels slightly stronger. One supporter put it plainly: “Winger is pressing, but midfielder is even more so. Would love to see Camavinga come in.”
That was a view echoed elsewhere too, with another fan adding: “Camavinga for me, think he’d elevate us.” There is a clear sense from those reactions that, while a wide is called for to account for Salah leaving Liverpool, many still see the middle of the pitch as the more urgent area.
Others think the answer depends entirely on how Arne Slot wants Liverpool to set up.
As one fan wrote: “Depends on formations, 4-2-2-2 need a good 6 and centre-back, no winger needed, use Flo [Wirtz], Hugo [Ekitike].” They shift the focus away from signing another forward and towards adding a holding midfielder and centre-back instead, while putting trust in the options already at the club.
That need for a specialist number six came up again in more direct terms too. One supporter simply said: “Number 6, Carlos Baleba.”

There is still support for a winger, though. “Bradley Barcola,” one fan wrote, cutting straight to the point.
Another went into more detail: “Someone like Gordon for me. Will press from the front, bring energy and passion, while also the odd s******** moment.” Liverpool have looked at Gordon, but Newcastle would rather not sell to us again after last summer’s debacle.
Someone threw a different name into the mix with: “Yan Diomande.” The 19-year-old is certainly on Liverpool’s radar.
