Bournemouth secured one of the signings of the winter window in Brazilian winger Rayan, and Liverpool are already exploring the possibility of bringing him to Anfield.
Liverpool’s pursuit of a long-term wide player has seen them scan over every corner of Europe, but a strong prospect has emerged right under their noses in the Premier League.
19-year-old Rayan arrived at the Vitality Stadium in January and has made quite the impression in the weeks since.

There was much more energy vs Galatasaray, could that change things?
A report from TEAMtalk has Liverpool firmly in the mix as his next destination, but the price and competition from Europe’s elite make it clear that any transfer pursuit will be challenging.
Liverpool, Man United, PSG, Real Madrid all interested in Rayan
It was as strong a start to life in England as the young winger could have hoped for. Rayan’s first three appearances for the Cherries produced two goals and an assist.
When a young talent makes such an immediate impact, it’s always going to attract the attention of the big-hitters.
TEAMtalk report Liverpool’s interest, as well as that of Man United, PSG, and Real Madrid — all of whom have been ‘hugely impressed’ with the Brazilian.

But Bournemouth were expecting this to happen, which is why they inserted a reported £86 million release clause in his contract. That clause puts them in a strong position to stave off early interest, though a bid approaching that figure would surely make them think twice.
Rayan’s fit at Liverpool
Liverpool were keeping tabs on Rayan as recently as January, and for good reason.
A fee that large seems rather steep for a player with such little experience at the top level, but Rayan is on a rapid trajectory to the top of the sport.
He has just received his first call-up for Brazil and could play a part in their World Cup campaign.
The fit is obvious. While Rayan can play all across the front three, his favoured position is out on the right. As a left-footer, he is poised to take over from Mo Salah with the Egyptian’s reign at Anfield coming to an end.
Who was your Man of the Match in Liverpool’s rout of Galatasaray? 💪
The only concern is the inexperience. Is he ready to play a key role for a title-contending side? That’s something the decision-makers at the club will have to determine. Spending that much money for anything but a nailed-on starter feels like too big a risk.
As the report mentioned, Bournemouth have put themselves in a strong negotiating position and an exit this summer feels unlikely. That being said, this many top clubs wouldn’t be interested if there wasn’t some indication that a move is possible.
