Liverpool academy product Harry Wilson has been a revelation at Fulham over the past two seasons, a player transformed from the youngster who made two senior appearances for the Reds.
He has been one of the Premier League’s form players this season, with nine goals and five assists in a Fulham side competing for Europe.
In a recent interview, the Welshman dived into his rise at Craven Cottage, but also his early years at Liverpool.
Specifically, he discussed the mind-blowing talent of Liverpool legend Roberto Firmino.
Is it time for Liverpool to move on from Ibrahima Konate?
Harry Wilson: Firmino was a joke in Liverpool training
Wilson joined Peter Crouch on the latest episode of his podcast in what was a thoroughly enjoyable hour-long conversation.
Crouch wanted to delve into his time at the AXA Training Centre, asking: ““So, who was the best like in training? Like who every day you were like it’s a joke?”
Without much thought, Wilson replied: “Bobby Firmino For me. Yeah. I think about everyone saw it in games, but I think in training like he was so tidy.

“I think his finishing was crisp. Like his touch in the possessions, the way he shielded the ball, like it was so hard to get the ball off him. So I felt if he was on your team, you did well.”
The technique Bobby Dazzler possessed has stuck with many of the players to come through the ranks at Anfield.
Curtis Jones picked Firmino as the most gifted he saw at Liverpool, too.
Harry Wilson returning to Liverpool
Wilson never established himself in the first team. Not many academy products do.
Since departing from Merseyside, he has developed into a quality player, who would surely be in the picture were he still at the club.
If you could buy ANY Premier League player right now, who are you signing for Liverpool this summer?
I’ll just say it, Liverpool should sign Wilson — on a free, by the way — and bring him back to where he learned his trade. He wouldn’t walk into the starting XI, but he would be a brilliant depth piece to fill in in midfield or attack.
Not to mention, it would be a beautiful full-circle moment.
