With just over 12 hours until the transfer deadline, any potential Liverpool business will need to be ironed out in short order.
There is far more happening on the incomings front, with the Reds still desperately seeking that defensive addition that has evaded them in recent days.
You can make ONE signing before the deadline… WHO and WHY??
Less action with outgoings, though a couple of rumours and links to go through.
It hasn’t been a window to remember so far, but there’s still time for an exciting development — here’s everything you need to know about deadline day at Liverpool.
Liverpool near Jeremy Jacquet signing
Jeremy Jacquet could be on his way to Anfield.
Well, in a few months. Liverpool are in pole position for Jacquet as of last night, with an agreement expected any time now.

As far as we know, it will be a move made in the summer, but with fierce competition from Chelsea, better get it done now.
A £55 million + £5 million package is the rumoured fee on the table.
Liverpool’s right-back hunt has hit a wall
Unfortunately, the one immediate move we were banking on to finish out the window has collapsed the day before the deadline.
Jeremie Frimpong’s untimely injury showed just how short Liverpool are at right-back, but addressing that issue has proved difficult.
Sunderland won’t release Lutsharel Geertruida, so that’s one option down. Inter Milan’s president ruled out Denzel Dumfries as well.
So the only linked name still on the table is Galatasaray’s Rolland Sallai, though reports so far have been of interest and nothing more.
It could be that Liverpool miss out on him as well, in which case Calvin Ramsay will surely have to step up to the first-team again.
That’s pretty much all we are expecting in terms of signings. Kees Smit has been linked a bit this window, but that looks like being a summer transfer race between some of Europe’s top sides.
Who could be Liverpool’s short-term right-back transfer fix?
Transfer-linked Curtis Jones and Andy Robertson to learn their fate
On outgoings, the two biggest names coming off the rumour mill are Curtis Jones and Andy Robertson.
Jones has been linked with Inter Milan, and he, like Robertson, has been the subject of interest from Premier League rivals Spurs.
The idea of one of them being sold would have sounded realistic a couple of weeks ago, but with no apparent replacements, I’d be shocked if either were heading for the Anfield exit today.
All in all, expect a quiet deadline day. If there is to be a move, Sallai seems the most obvious — unless a new target has been identified. And as Arne Slot said, Liverpool can’t afford to weaken the squad by letting players leave.
That being said, you really never know. We could get a surprise transfer story breaking in the final hours of the window, so be sure to stay tuned.
