Arne Slot made two changes to his starting XI for Liverpool’s Premier League clash against Newcastle United on Saturday.
All eyes were on who the Reds head coach would pick at right-back following injury to Jeremie Frimpong in midweek, with Slot having no choice to go with a makeshift option.
In the end, the Dutchman looks to have decided on Dominik Szoboszlai at right-back, leaving the wantaway Curtis Jones on the bench.

Elsewhere, Ibrahima Konate returns at centre-back after missing the last three matches through compassionate leave.
Mohamed Salah starts a fourth consecutive match, while Hugo Ekitike and Florian Wirtz are given the chance to grow their burgeoning partnership.
Is the best decision at right-back?
Slot was always going to have to do something he didn’t especially want to do at right-back for the visit of Newcastle.
In the circumstances, Szoboszlai would feel like the best option. However, leaving the Hungarian in defence does mean Liverpool will miss his influence in midfield.

With Anthony Gordon and Harvey Barnes both in the Newcastle team, whoever faced them was going to have to do so with pace.
With that in mind, it is hard to argue against Szoboszlai being chosen.
What it does do, though, is reinforce the fact that Liverpool could really do with bringing in a new option before Monday’s deadline. Whether that happens or not, we’ll have to wait and see.
