Liverpool have nearly completed one deal during the 2026 January transfer window so far.
Ifeanyi Ndukwe has agreed to join the Reds for an unconfirmed fee, but will not move to Anfield until the end of this season.
The 17-year-old centre-back will spend the remainder of 2025/26 out on loan before linking up with the club’s U21 squad in the summer.
Who is Liverpool’s best short-term striker fix this January?
Another rising talent could move to Merseyside this month as well, with it being reported that Liverpool are set to sign Talla Ndiaye.

Liverpool January transfer update
Marc Guehi and Antoine Semenyo could end up at Manchester City in January despite both being linked with Liverpool.
The duo were two of the main names mooted for potential transfers this month, but at present, it doesn’t appear as though we will see a lot of activity at Anfield over the coming weeks.
Instead, The Athletic are reporting that senior figures at Liverpool are indicating that it will be a quiet window for the Premier League champions.
Potential additions can’t be ruled out completely, but it’s understood that those in a position of power will not pursue short-term fixes.

Short-term solutions not being looked at makes some sense, but Semenyo and Guehi are not that.
Will Liverpool move for the Crystal Palace stopper if he is indeed available in January?
Well, the aforementioned report claims the Reds viewed the England international as a target for the summer after missing out on a move last year.
Despite suggestions about a transfer this month, it is not yet known if Palace are willing to part with Guehi over the winter.
Let’s hope they do, and Liverpool are at the front of the queue for his signature, because missing out on two Premier League-level targets to Man City really would not be ideal.
