Manchester United have announced that they have sacked Ruben Amorim after a poor run of results.

The week has started off with some very big news that does not affect Liverpool, but it is certainly causing fans to have their say.

Man United have decided to part ways with Amorim after a poor run of form, something that may seem harsh given the number of players they have unavailable.

However, that is the decision the board have made, and whether it is right or wrong, Liverpool fans are all asking the exact same question.

Liverpool fans confused how Arne Slot has not been sacked

Although Man United are not doing the best right now, they are not actually that far off Liverpool and sit just three points behind them in the league.

Why won’t Liverpool follow Man United’s lead and SACK Arne Slot?

That says a lot more about the Reds than it does their bitter rivals, with Arne Slot under significant pressure to get back on track.

However, Liverpool fans are wondering how the Dutchman is even still in charge, with many believing he should have gone before Amorim.

One supporter said: “Amorim has taken United from 15th last season to 6th this season and he is sacked. Slot has taken us from 1st last season to 4th this season and he is still in a job? Asks questions…”

Another said: “Amorim and Maresca sacked before Slot, make it make sense,” while a third wrote: “Seriously, What’s stopping Liverpool from sacking Slot?!”

A fourth fan said: ” Maresca and Amorim gone, but Slot still in a job despite being just as bad and having spent far more money, time to be ruthless.”

Another added: “Enzo Maresca and Amorim gone, Arne Slot is next,” while a sixth sent a warning to Liverpool’s manager, saying: “Slot needs to be careful!”

A seventh said: “Slot lost at home to Amorim’s United by the way,” while a final supporter said: “Slot next please!”

Liverpool are not a reactionary club so Arne Slot still has a fair bit of time

One positive about Liverpool is that they have stability from the top down, with there a clear plan of action and agreement among the hierarchy, unlike at Man United.

With that said, although the Reds are going through a bit of a bad patch again, they will not sack Slot unless things go really badly.

They will also not do so without a plan either, and with the state of the managerial market right now, there really is a shortness of options.

Whether Man United will come to regret their choice will be seen fairly quickly, but for Liverpool fans, they will have to be patient as their club takes a more methodical approach.
