RTK readers voted on who Liverpool really should not have sold in 2025, with certain departures being a lot more costly than others.
The Reds were very active in 2025 in terms of transfers, although all of their activity came in the summer.
They had a big overhaul that saw many big stars arrive, but equally some important players depart, some of which have proven rather costly.
Liverpool can only sign ONE player this January, which position should they strengthen?
If Liverpool could turn back time, they certainly would not have sanctioned a move away for certain players, with fans certainly agreeing.
But as we look back at all those who they did sell, we asked Rousing The Kop readers who they think the club regret selling the most, and there is a very clear winner.
Liverpool will regret selling Luis Diaz the most
Liverpool sold over £200m worth of players in the summer, which is why they were able to spend so heavily on new recruits.
However, despite adding quality, they have lost a lot, with some going on to big things already despite leaving less than six months ago.
Liverpool sold A LOT of players in 2025 – but which one will be their biggest regret, and why?
The player who has performed the best since leaving is Luis Diaz, and RTK readers have voted him as the star who Liverpool will regret selling the most.
Almost 700 people voted, with Diaz receiving 71% of the votes, showing how he won by a landslide, and it is hard to argue otherwise.
Diaz was voted as the best signing of 2025 too, only further showing why Liverpool have made a mistake, with the left wing position at Anfield not being the same since he departed.
Liverpool fans also think they will regret selling Jarell Quansah
Keep, loan, sell – Liverpool youngsters’ edition
What would you decide for these three top LFC talents?
Coming in at second on the poll was Jarell Quansah, with the Englishman getting 18% of the votes.
Liverpool have had a bit of an issue at the back this season, with their lack of options meaning Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate have had to play virtually every game.
Quansah is excelling in the Bundesliga too which does not help matters, but the fact they have a buy-back clause on him is a good sign.
Darwin Nunez picked up just 5% of the votes, while Tyler Morton received a modest 4.7%, but Diaz is by far and away the winner of this one.
