Liverpool have become one of the most well-run clubs in the Premier League since FSG’s takeover.

FSG bought the Reds in 2010, and their financial situation has gone from strength to strength.

Liverpool’s January spend could reach £100m without causing any potential problems for the club.

Meanwhile, because of their deals away from the pitch, the Reds could survive without Champions League football for a couple of seasons.

Now, a fresh insight into just how much the club is worth has been shared this week.

Federico Chiesa is being disrespected by Arne Slot! How would you use the Italian vs Tottenham?

“It just doesn’t seem like he trusts him [Chiesa]. I know when they lost at Plymouth, Slot was furious with Chiesa.”

Liverpool given multi-billion dollar valuation

Back in October 2010, Liverpool were sold for a fee of £300m, according to the BBC.

That fee now looks minuscule compared to recent valuations of the football club.

In 2024, Forbes rated Liverpool at $5.3bn, making them the 28th-most valuable sports team in the entire world.

Their place on the list has dropped in 2025, but the amount the club is now worth has actually gone up.

The Reds are now estimated to be valued at $5.4bn, which is a £100m increase, putting them joint-48th on this year’s list.

How Liverpool’s valuation compares to Manchester United

There are fewer than a handful of football teams in the top 50, which is largely dominated by American sports.

Real Madrid, $6.75bn, are the highest-ranked side on the list in 20th place.

That is followed by Manchester United, who are the only other Premier League team to crack the top-50 ($6.6bn).

La Liga giants FC Barcelona are the final side to be included, sitting 42nd with a valuation of $5.65bn.

The Dallas Cowboys ($13bn) are the most valuable sports team in the world according to Forbes, followed by the Golden State Warriors ($11bn) and the Los Angeles Rams ($10.5bn).
