Liverpool’s injuries continued to pile up during an eventful 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening.
The Reds have lost a number of players during the course of the season and saw that list grow again in North London.
The headline issue is one concerning Alexander Isak, who was scythed down by Micky van de Ven while scoring Liverpool‘s opening goal of the game.
Who was your Man of the Match during the tight win over Spurs?
Having only been on the pitch for 15 minutes, it was a cruel blow to see the Swede forced off with what could be a serious injury.
Ian Wright believes Isak has picked up a knee problem, but while Liverpool wait to hear the severity of the issue, Florian Wirtz has delivered a positive update on the likes of Conor Bradley and Jeremie Frimpong, who were also substituted off.
Florian Wirtz hopeful of quick Alexander Isak return
Isak’s goal against Tottenham should have been a watershed moment for Liverpool. It finally saw the Reds two £100m+ signings link up for the first time.
Wirtz claimed a first Premier League assist with a lovely reverse ball, while Isak buried only his second league goal.

Although the Isak injury put a real dampener on things, Wirtz told LFCTV after the match that the mood on the injuries inside the dressing room was not too downhearted.
“With Alex it’s a bit unlucky, I hope it’s not too bad but we have to wait for that,” he said.
“I think the others [Bradley and Frimpong] are not too bad but hopefully Alex will be back soon.”
How concerned are you about Alexander Isak’s injury?
Arne Slot confirms Conor Bradley issue
Aside from Isak, Bradley’s problem appears to be the biggest concern for Liverpool.
Frimpong also had to be taken off having come on as a substitute, but Slot confirmed in his post-match press conference that the Dutchman was fine.
“No problem with him, but with Alex and with Conor we have to wait,” said the Liverpool head coach.
“You could see our bench today as well, but this is not for the first time in the last few weeks and we are picking up points and that’s the main thing. We are not the only team that suffers injuries in this period in England because we play so many games. This is quite normal, that teams have injuries in this period of time.”
Slot will be desperately hoping Bradley has not sustained yet another problem having already missed too much football this season.
