Liverpool will be looking to make it six games unbeaten in all competitions when they clash with Tottenham this weekend.

Arne Slot will be without some key players for the tie, including Joe Gomez and left-winger Cody Gakpo.

But the Dutchman has said that Dominik Szoboszlai could be involved, and Jeremie Frimpong is with the squad.

Federico Chiesa is being disrespected by Arne Slot! How would you use the Italian vs Tottenham?

“It just doesn’t seem like he trusts him [Chiesa]. I know when they lost at Plymouth, Slot was furious with Chiesa.”

Whoever starts, it is a big game for the Reds as they could end the weekend in the top four with a victory.

Jamie Carragher and Roy Keane predict Tottenham vs Liverpool

How likely that is remains to be seen, but there are a couple of points working in Liverpool’s favour.

Firstly, Tottenham are struggling for results, winning one in five in the Premier League.

Secondly, as Jamie Carragher was quick to point out when making his prediction on The Overlap, Spurs are poor at home.

Carragher predicted a 2-1 win over the Merseyside outfit and said that Tottenham have a ‘horrendous’ home record.

Roy Keane, who was speaking alongside the ex-Liverpool centre-back, also predicted the result, backing a 2-2 draw in North London.

How Opta’s supercomputer thinks Liverpool will fare vs Tottenham

Liverpool have a brilliant recent record against Tottenham, winning four of their last five across all competitions.

However, it is worth noting that their two latest defeats did come at Spurs’ stadium – January 2025 and September 2023.

The most recent meeting between the two sides took place at Anfield in April and saw Liverpool win 5-1 and clinch the Premier League title.

Ahead of this weekend’s game, Opta’s supercomputer has made the Reds favourites, giving them a 42.3% chance of winning compared to 32.2% for the Lilywhites.
