Liverpool head into one of their toughest trips of the season in turmoil next midweek as they face Inter Milan in the Champions League.
The Reds are reeling after dropping more points on Saturday, this time in dramatic fashion against Leeds.
If the 3-3 result was not enough, Mohamed Salah’s post-match comments have set Liverpool‘s world on fire. It feels only a matter of time before Arne Slot is taken out of his misery.
Who do you think should go, Salah or Slot?
If the Liverpool owners have decided to part ways with Slot, they will be on the lookout for a suitable replacement already, aiming to get things in place as quickly as possible.
One manager who may come into their thinking is Cesc Fabregas, who is excelling as a young coach with Como in Serie A. And after Fabregas admitted he will be in attendance at San Siro on Tuesday, Reds sporting director Richard Hughes should be eyeing a meeting.

The Liverpool hierarchy would not be doing their jobs in the current situation if they were not looking at options who could come in for Slot.
Despite the bleakness of the circumstances, the Dutch coach could still turn it around, but with his team in such disarray there must be a plan for if things simply go too far the wrong way.

Having taken Como to 10th in Serie A last season, and 6th so far this term, Fabregas is marking himself out as someone who could be worth Liverpool investing in.
The Spaniard and his team suffered only their second defeat of the season on Saturday, being beaten 4-0 by league leaders Inter at San Siro.
After the game, Fabregas told DAZN Italy of his admiration for Inter, and admitted he will be in the stands to watch their clash with Liverpool.

“Inter are very strong, and I’ll come to watch them on Tuesday against Liverpool to continue learning,” said the 38-year-old.
As Liverpool build information on potential candidates to be their next manager, it would be foolish if Hughes does not take the opportunity to have a quiet word with Fabregas.
Fabregas could be the next Pep Guardiola
Some Liverpool fans will likely look at Fabregas’ lack of top-level coaching experience and decide that he is absolutely not the right man should Slot face the chop.
While that is a fair position, there is also a chance that the former Spain international is one of the next generation’s top managers.

He has done a brilliant job at Como and having played under the likes of Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger, Fabregas has had a proper coaching education.
An excellent player in his day, the Spaniard is also well-used to the Premier League and knows the pressure that comes with being employed by a massive club.
None of that makes Fabregas a guarantee, but he is at the very least an exciting young coach who deserves exploration from Liverpool. Tuesday gives them the perfect chance to get to know him further.
