Liverpool may need to find a Mohamed Salah replacement sooner than they had planned after the Egyptian’s outburst on Saturday.
Salah was furious at having been left on the bench for a third consecutive match by Arne Slot and suggested he may now leave the club in January.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has already confirmed that Salah has a concrete chance to leave in the winter window, with clubs from Saudi Arabia still keen on his signature.
Who do you think should go, Salah or Slot?
In the meantime, reports have suggested that Liverpool are looking for a new wide player as they aim to complete their forward line rebuild.
Antoine Semenyo has seemed like the most likely candidate for that up to this point. However, after a new report from France, it seems Liverpool could be looking to PSG wide man Bradley Barcola instead.
Liverpool ‘on fire’ in Bradley Barcola chase
Liverpool were linked with a move for Barcola over the summer after the Frenchman saw his role at PSG reduce.
This has had a knock-on effect into this term, with Le10Sport reporting that the European champions are struggling to agree a new contract with Barcola.

PSG are claimed to have offered Barcola an extension which would place him among the top earners at the club. But having seen his playing time stutter, the 23-year-old is yet to agree to the terms.
He is said to be ‘not entirely satisfied’ with his situation in Paris which has reportedly alerted Liverpool to the possibility of a deal happening.
The Reds are claimed to be ‘on fire’ in their attempts to sign Barcola, with a move reportedly ‘not out of the question.’
Liverpool are said to be a ‘very active candidate’ if the winger does decide to move on, with Arsenal mentioned as having made a ‘strong move’ to entice Barcola as well.
Who is the bigger Liverpool legend, Salah or Gerrard?
Barcola is exactly what Liverpool are looking for
As they try to address the issues that remain within their attacking options, Barcola’s addition could be just the ticket for Liverpool.
The main issue with Arne Slot’s forward options is that they are severely lacking in pace. The France international has that in spades.
Having scored 26 goals in his last 82 appearances for PSG, Barcola is also a goal threat from wide.
As they try to effectively replace Salah, Liverpool badly need a player who can find the net while playing on the wings.
Semenyo represents a more Premier League proven candidate, but Barcola would be a far more exciting signing. This may not be one for January, but if his contract saga rumbles on in France, he will certainly be one to watch next summer.
