Jamie Carragher has done something that ‘agitates’ a number of Liverpool stars, and Mohamed Salah has proven just that

Mohamed Salah has certainly let his feelings be known after being left on the bench against Leeds.

The Reds’ season has been nothing short of a disaster so far, and now, things are starting to turn a little ugly.

After being benched for the third league game in a row, Salah did a brutally honest interview where he seemed to call out Arne Slot, leaving both of their futures up in the air.

Whose side are you on, Salah or Slot?

“I said many times before that I have a good relationship with the manager, suddenly we don’t have a relationship, I don’t know why.  It’s not acceptable to me, to be honest. I don’t know why it always happens to me. ‘We throw Mo under the bus, because he’s the problem.’ I don’t think I’m the problem.”

This shows how the Egyptian has reached the tipping point and his frustrations have finally boiled over, with it being a long time coming by the sounds of it.

Jamie Carragher has had a big role to play in this situation too, with the former Liverpool defender also being name-dropped by the Reds’ winger.

Jamie Carragher ‘agitates’ Liverpool players with his comments

Pundits have a tough job as they have to try their best to remain neutral while offering a fair and honest analysis.

Carragher rarely holds back, though, and even though he is a club legend, he is not often afraid to call out some of Liverpool’s stars when he thinks it is applicable.

However, according to the Daily Mail, this is something that has annoyed many of the players, with Salah’s reaction evidence of that.

“Jamie Carragher’s observations on Sky Sports have been known to agitate some of Arne Slot’s current group of players,” they wrote.

Salah has called Carragher out too, showing just how he has got under his skin, with the Egyptian looking like he is ready to challenge anyone who disagrees with him.

“After what I have done for the club it really hurts. You can imagine, really,” Salah told Viaplay Fotboll.

“I know the club too well, I have been here many years. Tomorrow Jamie Carragher is going to go for me again and again and that’s fine.”

Who do you think should go, Salah or Slot?

Mohamed Salah needs to leave without saying anything more

Whether you agree or disagree with what Salah has said, there is no denying that it is not a good look for himself, Slot or the club as a whole.

He will always be a club legend, but he needs to be very careful that he does not do anything that will tarnish his reputation even a little bit, although this might have done that already.

He clearly is unhappy and while Slot is in charge, he will probably not get back in the team, suggesting that he should just move on in January without saying anything more.

Even if a new manager does come in, Salah’s age, form, and now his comments, might put them off from giving him another chance, with this whole situation signalling the end to what has been nothing short of a beautiful Liverpool career.
