The Egyptian called out Arne Slot and stated that he felt he has been “thrown under the bus” this season at Anfield, leaving many to question his future.

Hugo Ekitike, who scored a brace during the game, has been one of the first to speak since the incident, and he has suggested that Salah has just done the exact opposite of what needs to happen.

Ekitike has given his verdict on what needs to happen now, with the Frenchman saying Liverpool need to stick together, which is exactly what Salah has not done.
“Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, but at the moment and even tomorrow if we start to win every game we play, you have to work as a team and be together,” he said as per Liverpoolfc.com.
“That’s what is going to make us do a great season.”
The belief is clearly still there that they can have a successful season, but togetherness is needed in this tough time, with Salah not helping the situation.
However, once a resolution is found, Liverpool have the quality to get back on track, suggesting they still have a big season ahead.

Although he is right to some extent by saying what he said, this is not the time to make it all about himself, especially just after a draw that felt more like a defeat.
Liverpool are not, and never have been, a team with a few individuals who think they are above everyone else, so this is not going to change now.
Salah needs to put his ego to one side, take accountability for his performances not being good enough, and work harder to prove Slot wrong.
It might be too late now for one of them, but if Slot does go, then the Egyptian should simply apologise to his teammates and work harder to earn their trust back.
