Mohamed Salah has seen his form on the field decline, while his lack of action off the pitch has been questioned.

Jamie Carragher doesn’t think Salah is a leader, hitting out at the 33-year-old last week.

Meanwhile, Arne Slot dropped the Egyptian for the first time on Sunday when Liverpool beat West Ham United 2-0.

Now, it has emerged that following an offer earlier in 2025, Salah remains a target for the Saudi Pro League going into next year.

Liverpool fans ready for Mohamed Salah to depart

On the back of the latest links to Saudi Arabia, many Liverpool supporters are now in agreement that 2025/26 will be Salah’s last as a Red.

One fan wrote: “He will be gone in the summer it seems. Doubt Liverpool let him go on a free unless he signs another contract.”

“£125m in the summer and they can have him,” stated another.

A third echoed: “Think he will move to Saudi in the summer,” with another writing: “Long overdue…. He should go there.”

“Defo his last season. Hope we have the biggest farewell for him at the end of the season,” expressed a fifth.

Another Liverpool fan added: “Love Salah man, Liverpool icon and Premier League legend, but it does feel like the end of his time at Liverpool.”

A seventh tweeted: “He’s gone in the summer. Let’s get him 2 Champions Leagues before he calls it quits.”

How much would you want Liverpool to sell Mohamed Salah for?

How much is Mohamed Salah actually worth?

Salah is under contract at Anfield until June 2027, at which point he will be 35 years of age.

Previously, Liverpool rejected a bid worth over £100m for the forward, but it remains to be seen if a similar sum will be offered in the coming year.

His form has declined, and at least six months will have passed before a formal bid can be made.

Transfermarkt values the player at €45m (around £39.4m), but we have seen in the past that the Saudi Pro League are willing to pay over the odds to convince players to leave Europe.

After signing his latest contract, Salah expressed hope he would see out the deal.

Speaking to the club’s media, he said: “It’s great, I had my best years here. I played eight years, hopefully it’s going to be 10. Enjoying my life here, enjoying my football. I had the best years in my career.”
