Liverpool fell to a 4-1 defeat at home to PSV.
The Reds cannot catch a break right now and things look like they are reaching boiling point for Arne Slot after losing nine of his last 12 games in charge.
They have now lost back-to-back games at Anfield by three goals too, something that is simply unacceptable for a team of Liverpool’s calibre.
Liverpool player ratings on a dismal night against PSV Eindhoven
There are so many issues that it is hard to know where to start, but against PSV, there was one obvious issue that seems to be recurring.
Stephen Warnock was one of those who pointed it out, and it simply has to change if they are to win another game this season.

Liverpool can be carved up with one ball
One of the biggest issues that has persisted in almost every game so far is that Liverpool are far too open.
Their midfield is not as organised as it once was, and even though they have hard-workers in this position, they can be taken out of the game with one pass.
Warnock spotted this pretty quickly during their defeat to PSV, with this needing to change if they are to be competitive again.
“Liverpool have had lots of chances and most of the ball, but it only takes one good ball out from the back and they look vulnerable,” he said as per BBC Sport.
In the end, the Reds had 58% possession and completed almost double the amount of passes as the Dutch side, but could not do anything with the ball.
Who was Liverpool’s worst player against PSV Eindhoven?
And when they looked fairly comfortable in the game, PSV tore them apart with one pass, scored another goal and killed the game off.
Arne Slot might need to be sacked
One of the only ways it looks like this issue will change is if Slot leaves, with the Dutchman looking short of solutions despite weeks to think about one.
Their performances just show no signs of improving, and the lack of change is a problem that fans will start to worry about.
Who would replace him is as good a guess as any, though, which is something that might save him his job for now, even if it should not be the case.
If he is the manager by Sunday when they take on West Ham, this could be the final straw if they do lose, but it is safe to say that social media will be blowing up over the coming days about this topic.
