Liverpool’s right-back options have been significantly chopped down ahead of Saturday’s visit of Nottingham Forest after Conor Bradley was ruled out.
Bradley has begun to make the position his own over recent weeks after Jeremie Frimpong picked up a hamstring injury.
However, Slot confirmed on Friday that Bradley will miss at least three weeks, leaving the Liverpool head coach without a natural right-back in his squad.
Joe Gomez looks most likely to play against Forest, but the England international has been off the pace this season and also did not train on Thursday.
Slot could decide to revert to a previous tactic and put either Dominik Szoboszlai or Curtis Jones in defence. The fact that Florian Wirtz is also injured means the Liverpool midfield is light, though, and needs all the bodies it can get.
As a result, fans have taken to social media to urge Slot to give Calvin Ramsay another go after a promising performance in the Carabao Cup.

Liverpool fans beg Arne Slot for Calvin Ramsay renaissance
Liverpool’s right-back question was always in danger of being an unanswerable one this season after Trent Alexander-Arnold’s departure.
Bradley is simply too inconsistent in terms of fitness while Frimpong looks like a square peg in a round hole. Consequently, Ramsay has been given an unexpected way back in.

Having watched him do well against Crystal Palace at Anfield, fans want to see the Scotland international play again, but do not expect Slot to heed their calls.
“With Wirtz out as well, surely can’t put Szoboszlai at fullback,” said one fan. “Time to give Ramsay a chance.”
“You’ve just got to play Gomez or Ramsay at right back,” added another. “The last thing this side needs at the minute is to be taking the engine out of the midfield.”
Who will win Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest on Saturday?
“I’m actually excited about Calvin Ramsay right back after that Palace Carabao performance. So no doubt it’ll be Szobo right back,” bemoaned someone else.
“Logically Calvin Ramsay should be given a chance at RB yeah. But you just know it will be square pegs in round holes again, Jones or Szobo RB loading,” one more fan suggested.
“Calvin Ramsay now has an opportunity of a lifetime to step up and prove himself in that RB position,” another claimed, while someone else added: “Bradley injured again, give Ramsay a go.”
“My guess it’s Jones who’s gonna be the one who plays at RB over Szobo this next couple of weeks. Really wouldn’t mind some Ramsay minutes too,” one more supporter surmised.
Ramsay will get Liverpool minutes
With Slot’s options at right-back now dwindling to the bare bones, it looks likely that Ramsay will get a look-in at some stage.
That may not be on Saturday, but with seven games to come across the next three weeks, the 22-year-old should get himself ready.
Who is the most talented youngster in the Liverpool academy?
As supporters point out, it is not sustainable to keep playing Szoboszlai or Jones at right-back. Neither are natural in the position and it leads to problems in other areas of the pitch.
Gomez is arguably a better right-back than either Bradley or Frimpong, but fitness concerns mean he cannot play every three days.
If Ramsay can take the opportunity whenever it comes his way, there is no reason he can’t be considered a genuine member of the Liverpool squad.
The Scot was never meant to be a part of the Liverpool academy, and after a tough few years he could finally be about to get back to where he was supposed to belong.
