Liverpool signing Antoine Semenyo might just help Milos Kerkez kick on.

It may only be November but transfer rumours are starting to circle, with the Reds in need of some new additions.

They may have spent big in the summer, but there are still some gaps to plug, with Semenyo one of the players linked with a move.

Liverpool could do with another option on the wing after losing Luis Diaz, and the Bournemouth man would be perfect for so many reasons.

But one of them is because he could get the best out of Kerkez who has struggled so far, with the pair having a great relationship during their time as teammates.

Antoine Semenyo will bring the best out of Milos Kerkez

Bournemouth really are exceeding all expectations as despite losing a lot of top players, they are still performing well.

Kerkez was one of the players they lost over the summer, with the 21-year-old one of the best full-backs in the league, which is why Liverpool were quick to snap him up.

He has not had the same effect at Anfield, however, with the Hungarian playing poorly when given the chance, while sitting the last few out.

However, signing Semenyo will only help bring the best out of him due to the duo having such a good relationship, with journalist Nick Wright already explaining why they are so good together.

“His boundless energy ensures constant support for his winger, most commonly Antoine Semenyo or Dango Ouattara, whether it be on the outside or the inside,” he wrote on his Sky Sports column back in April.

“Kerkez ranks second in the Premier League for overlapping runs this season and top for underlapping runs.”

These runs have not been seen yet, though, at Liverpool, with Cody Gakpo’s positioning perhaps playing a role, so with Semenyo in front, his full potential can be unlocked.

Milos Kerkez will come good

Whether Semenyo signs or not, Kerkez will eventually come good, the Ghanaian’s arrival would just significantly speed up the process.

He has all the traits needed to become a successful full-back at Liverpool and has the right players around him to learn from, he just needs not to try as hard.

That may sound silly but he is too eager to impress rather than playing his natural game, with the Hungarian needing to relax on the ball and make better decisions.

Once he can show his attacking threat, this is when he will really kick-on as this is the best part of his game, although Arne Slot might have to adjust the system a little to let him do this without any risk.
