Ibrahima Konate is preparing to enter the final six months of his Liverpool contract with no resolution in sight.
The Frenchman has been a key player under Arne Slot, playing 31 times as the Reds won the Premier League last season.
But Konate has not been in good form this year, with fans beginning to question his commitment to Liverpool.
Real Madrid appear ready to snatch the centre-back for nothing next summer, with plenty more of Europe’s top sides no doubt looking to pounce as well.
Liverpool are still trying to keep Konate, but there are question marks over his salary demands, and there is no guarantee that an agreement will be struck.
With debate raging over Konate‘s form and a very clear chance that he leaves next summer, Rousing The Kop asked Liverpool supporters to vote on whether they even want their No. 5 to sign a new contract and stay.
Majority of Liverpool fans do not care if Ibrahima Konate leaves
Liverpool’s defensive issues have been laid bare this season. Having conceded 17 goals in 11 Premier League games, it is clear that Konate has been part of the problem.
As a result, fans have seemingly decided that they are no longer bothered if the 26-year-old decides he wants to go.

Asked whether they would like Konate to sign new terms at Anfield, more than 1,250 Liverpool supporters weighed in with a vote.
Of those, only 30% said they would be in favour of Konate staying with the Reds beyond the summer.

51% of fans decided they would actively not like to see the France international in a Liverpool shirt next season, while a further 19% said they did not mind either way.
With a brutal tally of 70% of supporters either pushing him to leave or unbothered if he does, perhaps it is best for everyone if Konate simply announces his intention to go and draws a line under the whole affair.
Why Liverpool fans do not want Konate to stay
On form, there is little question of Konate’s quality. The former RB Leipzig man is one of the best centre-backs in Europe when he puts his mind to it.
However, Konate still has far too many days where he looks shakier than a paper house.
One mistake often leads to two, three or four in matches and he has never been the most confident with the ball at his feet.
Should Konate leave, Liverpool may sign Marc Guehi, and the England man would undoubtedly be an improvement in terms of building up from the back.
