Dominik Szoboszlai has been one of Liverpool’s best players so far this season.
The Reds’ defeat to Brentford means they have now lost four Premier League matches on the spin, form that simply will not win them the title again.
There are so many problems to deal with that Arne Slot has plenty of choices to make, with most players’ places in the team not exactly safe.
One star whose place is safe, though, is Szoboszlai’s, with the midfielder one of, if not the best, Liverpool player so far this season.
He leaves his all on the pitch every time and has hardly put a foot wrong, with this, alongside what he did at full-time on Saturday, leaving Reds fans to all make the same prediction.

The Hungarian may only be 25 but he is vastly experienced, both in terms of club and country.
He has already played over 300 times in his career and has been the captain of Hungary for three years, with his leadership clear for all to see both on and off the pitch.
At the end of the Brentford game, he was also one of the first to go and applaud the away fans, waving his hands up in the air as a way of saying ‘let’s get behind each other now,’
This has left fans saying that he should be the next captain after Virgil van Dijk, and it is hard to disagree.
One supporter wrote: “The only player who deserves his flowers…. man is a monster!” with another adding: “He has to be our next captain!”
A third fan thinks the same, saying: “If he sticks around, Szoboszlai should definitely be Liverpool’s next captain.”

Another wrote: “The only player worthy of talking to the fans right now,” while a fifth added: “Szobo is really a pure red!”
A sixth believes he is keeping the team together, saying: “Slot ball might be crumbling the team but at least you still have decent players like him,” while another wrote: “The only shining light in that team!”
A final supporter also thinks he is ready to be future captain, although they have worried over if he will stay, saying: “If Szoboszlai commits with a new deal, which is not that obvious, he must be our captain. It is always him that makes something happen when we are down.”

Szoboszlai’s current deal expires in 2028, but based on his performances this season, he will likely get a renewal as soon as possible.
Liverpool need to do everything in their power to tie him down too as he really is the future of the club, with the Hungarian epitomising what it takes to wear the Red shirt.
His leadership qualities only reinforce this point further, with the 25-year-old more similar to someone like Steven Gerrard than perhaps fans realise, with his number eight shirt rather fitting.
Liverpool’s midfield really is one of the most competitive to get into in the entire league, but against all odds, Szoboszlai has established himself within it, and he needs to be here to stay,
