Florian Wirtz may not have had the greatest of starts to life at Liverpool, but things are beginning to look up.
The German arrived with enormous expectation having sparkled in the Bundesliga for Bayer Leverkusen.
A startling £116m price tag did nothing to dampen the feeling that Liverpool had signed one of the world’s very best players.
During his opening quarter as a Liverpool player, Wirtz has not necessarily shown that, with his first Premier League or Champions League goal involvement taking until late October to arrive.
But having seen him hit two assists against Eintracht Frankfurt this week, Liverpool fans should be getting very excited about Wirtz once again.
And despite a slow beginning to his time at Anfield, the Reds have moved swiftly to declare that anyone getting any ideas that the 22-year-old may be for sale is due a rethink.

Florian Wirtz is going absolutely nowhere
Liverpool were far from the only team interested in signing Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen this summer.
Man City, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid were all heavily involved in the race, and all three will be watching his developing situation with interest.

According to transfer expert Graeme Bailey, though, there is no chance that the trio will see Wirtz back on the market again.
As Bailey exclusively tells Rousing The Kop, Liverpool are adamant that they have no worries over the Germany international and he certainly isn’t anything like for sale.
“Regarding speculation surrounding Wirtz’s future, Liverpool are totally dismissive of anything around him,” says the reporter.
“Social media can be quite vociferous with things, but Liverpool know they’ve got a world class player. Talk of them thinking about cashing in or anything like that is absolute nonsense.
“They’re committed to Wirtz, there’s no ifs or buts, they love him as a person and a player and know he’ll come good.”
Liverpool must build the team around Wirtz
Wirtz deserves credit for the way he has conducted himself despite some tricky form at the beginning of this campaign.
Lesser players may have begun to hide, or shown their frustration in a public way.
However, the No. 7 has simply got his head down and continued to work, continued to ask for the ball and is ultimately starting to get his reward.
Wirtz is simply too good a player not to succeed at Liverpool, and while rival supporters will be desperate for that to happen, once he clicks the world will see that.
As one superstar begins to fade in Mohamed Salah, the Reds must begin to build their next great team around the talent that is Wirtz.
