Mohamed Salah has faced criticism for his recent run of form, which has not seen him at his best.
The Egyptian came into this season on a professional high when he had his best individual season at Liverpool, helping them lift the Premier League trophy with 37 goal contributions in the top-flight.
It was one of those special seasons that saw the player look like the best version of himself and produce a performance that further cemented his legendary status at Anfield.
However, in this early part of the season, Salah has underperformed with his displays so far, not just with goal contributions being lower than in previous years, but also, his general play has looked poor.
This has led to widespread panning of the 33-year-old because some believe he is not helping by being in the team with his current form and should be dropped for now.

Darren Bent calls Mohamed Salah ‘greedy’ for not passing to Florian Wirtz
His frustrations on the pitch have been very clear in the most recent games against Manchester United and Eintracht Frankfurt, where the star found himself snatching at chances constantly.
This has had some effect on the team in terms of the fact that he has not passed enough to his teammates.

Darren Bent has picked up on him not passing to players when there are clearer chances, including against Frankfurt, where the star did not pass to Florian Wirtz, who could have scored a tap-in.
Speaking to talkSPORT, the former England striker explained that while he believes Salah will return to the team, his greediness needs to be addressed.
Bent said: “I think he will (bring him back) because I think with Mohamed Salah, he’s one of those players where he is only one moment away from returning to what we know he can do. And I think he’ll look at that and go, right, ‘I’ve said this about him, I’ve given him a little bit of confidence’.
“Because I said to you before in the week I wasn’t happy with the situation where at the end he could have passed to Wirtz and he shot, but he did the same thing also against Manchester United as well where he could have passed it, so that was a little bit greedy. But I think he’ll bring him back in, but I don’t think his position now is as rock solid as it once was.
“But I think the biggest thing as well is what does he do in terms of Isak? Because Isak hasn’t got going at all yet. Whereas Ekitike has been brilliant. He’s been unbelievable so I think that’s where Arne Slot might look at it and if he doesn’t bring Salah back he’ll go with the same three he’ll go with the Gakpo, Isak and Ekitike. So I think he probably will bring him back but I think Isak might come out of the team because I think he’s got a groin problem as well. Yeah, I think it’ll be Ekitike and Gakpo.”
Liverpool only have one current option to start over Mohamed Salah vs Brentford
Fans will likely see Salah return to the starting XI following his stint on the bench for the Champions League on Wednesday, but there is another option that Arne Slot could use.
While it is highly unlikely, Federico Chiesa, who just won the Player of the Month trophy for Liverpool, has to be given his opportunity at some point if the Dutch manager wants to rest Salah one more time.
Even if the Italian does not start because he is such a high-impact substitute, he will probably change the game around anyway for Slot against Brentford today.
