Arne Slot had plenty of thinking to do between Liverpool’s loss to Man United and their Champions League fixture.
Reds fans can feel a little more relaxed about things now after their team finally won a game, putting an end to a four-game losing streak.
Liverpool beat Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1, with Slot changing things up for this one to try and provoke a reaction.
This is exactly what he got from his side, with this the first time they have put in a convincing performance all season, something they will look to build upon.
But ahead of this match, the Dutchman tried something a little different by delaying training, with the reason why proving to be key in Wednesday’s victory.

After a loss, or multiple in Liverpool’s case, many would have thought that Slot would be making the players train extra hard, with an emphasis on running.
However, this was not the case and the Reds saw Tuesday’s training session delayed, with Slot spending extra time analysing the weaknesses in the team, as reported by journalist Lewis Steele.
“I think the word in the club is one of calm because they are only four points off the top in the Premier League,” Steele said on his YouTube channel.
“It can easily be rectified. They spent Monday and Tuesday pretty much in the analysis rooms going through clips.
“Slot was showing them what was wrong and the fact that training seemed to be delayed on Tuesday was probably because Slot was spending a bit more time in the analysis room showing them things.
“He’s basically saying we hit the post three times on Sunday. Gakpo missed a complete sitter. Salah missed a few sitters the week before at Chelsea. They could have easily beat Galatasaray in that Champions League game a few weeks ago.

“So Slot’s message is if we keep creating these chances we will eventually turn them into goals. And you know what? He’s right.”

Whatever Slot told the players, it clearly worked as Wednesday night saw a much-improved performance in comparison to previous weeks.
But now, the important thing is to carry on and build on this performance, with the fixtures not getting any easier.
They have Brentford away next, which is always a hard place to go to, before taking on Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, Real Madrid and Manchester City all before the international break.
It is certainly an important period in the season for the Reds that could have a huge influence on the future, making it important that they continue to build on this game.
