Liverpool duo Ryan Gravenberch and Ibrahima Konate are set to train ahead of Sunday’s clash with Manchester United, Arne Slot has confirmed.
The Reds could really do with getting back to winning ways at Anfield, with United arguably providing the ideal opposition to do that.
Given they have a tough run of seven games in three weeks on the calendar, Slot will have been concerned at the news that both Konate and Gravenberch were withdrawn early during last week’s international break.
Konate was unable to play at all for France, while Gravenberch was taken off with hamstring tightness during the Netherlands’ match against Finland.
But speaking during Friday’s pre-match press conference, Slot confirmed that the two players are expected to train as normal ahead of Liverpool against Man United.

Positive update on Ryan Gravenberch and Ibrahima Konate but no Alisson Becker
Gravenberch and Konate are key players for Slot, with both comfortably in Liverpool’s current best XI.
Happily, the Dutchman was able to give a positive assessment of the two stars, suggesting that they are in line to be fit to play against United.
“Ryan is completely fit, although we still have to train twice, but if you ask me now he’s completely fit,” Slot said.
“Ibou has come back to us, started his sessions again and is expected to train with us today.”
However, it was not all good news for Liverpool, with Slot confirming that Alisson Becker will definitely miss at least the next three fixtures.
“Alisson is not training with us, he’s out,” he said. “He will not play at the weekend and also not next week.”
Slot confirmed that the Liverpool squad has no further injury complaints ahead of Sunday’s fixture.
