Liverpool will need their players to be at their best to dismantle a weaker Manchester United side.
Arne Slot’s side may be going into this game on a three-game losing run following an international break, but considering this United team does not have the same quality as the Reds, it will likely be a triumphant win on Sunday.
Anfield will be the setting for a game which could drag Liverpool out of this recent slump and continue marching forward to retain their Premier League title as they sit one point behind league leaders Arsenal.
When analysing who will have the best performance against this depleted Ruben Amorim side, most will say it is Mohamed Salah, who would be the likely candidate to continue his brilliant record against the Mancunians.
However, Florian Wirtz has been touted as the man to exploit the weaknesses of the Red Devils by pundits, including Dean Saunders, who has predicted how he will be able to get the better of Amorim’s men.

Dean Saunders says Florian Wirtz will exploit Manchester United weaknesses
While the £116 million player has not hit the ground running since his move from Bayer Leverkusen, the German’s quality on and off the ball is already known as fans wait with bated breath to see him fully come into his own in the top-flight.
The former Liverpool player Saunders praised the player as ‘really talented’ and explained that the way United set up their midfield and who they have in the centre of the park is suited to how Wirtz will want to play.

The 22-year-old likes to find the spaces and the gaps away from players to run into, hopefully creating a chance for others or scoring his own with deadly precision like he did in Germany.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Saunders pointed out which of the two players he can exploit in the United squad to have a game which will suit his style perfectly.
He said: “He’s got Wirtz who’s got a massive transfer fee on him and he’s a really good footballer, really good player and everybody’s desperate for him to score or start playing like he can play.
“Well I think that Man United midfield on Sunday suits him. Well he’s brilliant at finding space. Maddison’s good. Maddison’s similar to him. They find wherever the gap is… So he’s a really talented player and I think Man United with I think their weakness is in the middle of midfield. They’ve got two in the middle. Casemiro can’t do the width of the pitch. Ugarte’s struggling.”
Jason Cundy reveals when he thought Florian Wirtz was a difference maker
The player has not played awfully in every game this season, if anything, the more he has played it seems he has become more used to the pace of the league.
While his physicality is not there just yet, the glimpses in some of his most recent performances show that he will start to be at his best from now.
Jason Cundy was one of those who felt that the player had impressed in the Reds’ last loss to Chelsea.
The former player said: “Actually, when he came off the bench against Chelsea, I thought he was a bit of a difference maker actually.”
If he makes his mark against United, whether that be an all-round performance or a moment of brilliance that has a goal contribution at the end, it will be just what he needs to prove to fans his worth.
