Joe Hart drops verdict on whether Arne Slot can get Liverpool out of their current slump

Arne Slot has had an impressive impact on Liverpool since joining last summer.

When he took over from Jurgen Klopp at Anfield, many expected the Reds to go through a transitional stage, but instead, he managed to win the Premier League title.

This season, things started well with the Merseyside outfit winning all five of their opening games.

However, over the last few weeks, Liverpool’s form has taken a turn for the worse as the club have now lost three games in a row across all competitions.

And, with this current slump being the first of Slot’s Liverpool career, former Manchester City man Joe Hart has shared whether he thinks the Dutchman has what it takes to get the Reds back to their best.

Joe Hart thinks Arne Slot will be able to turn things around at Liverpool soon

If last season showed Liverpool fans anything, it’s that they have a massive amount of quality among their ranks.

Indeed, Mohamed Salah having his best-ever campaign likely helped matters, but the fact that Slot came in and managed to get Klopp’s team to win the Premier League is nothing short of fantastic.

And, to make things even sweeter, only Federico Chiesa was brought in last summer, and even he didn’t feature all that often.

Now, while speaking on TNT Sports’ The Breakdown, Hart has shared why he thinks Slot will be able to turn things around on Merseyside.

“I think last year, the noises coming out of Liverpool, the communication that he has with his players and how much he pushed them, that encouraged me to think that he is capable of handling it,” he said.

“Of course, it’s difficult at the moment, that whole Isak saga, the money spent on him and then for everyone to presume you can just dump him in and he’ll start scoring goals.

“You’ve got to be able to bring him in, keep the fans onside and keep everyone happy.”

Arne Slot must figure out how to get the best out of Liverpool’s new players

After Liverpool signed players such as Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak this summer, many people expected them to run away with the Premier League title.

And, while that’s how it felt things were going to go during the first five games of the season, their last few outings have proven that cracks are starting to show.

Indeed, a lot of this is down to the poor defensive work from Milos Kerkez and Ibrahima Konate, but, aside from Hugo Ekitike, hardly any of Liverpool’s attackers are playing well.

Salah, Wirtz, and Isak have all failed to live up to expectations this season, and if Slot can’t find the best way to line his team up soon, things could go from bad to worse overnight.

So, with this in mind, let’s hope that October’s international break is exactly what the Reds’ first-team squad needed to reset themselves and get back to their best.
